Steve Diehl's visit to Guide Dogs for the Blind with his dad as a child charted a course that would lead him to his ultimate career. He remembers thinking that being a doctor to those nice dogs would be the best job in the world. He has found that to be true! Steve enjoys the continual stimulation of figuring out challenging medical problems and feeling the satisfaction in providing the best possible care.

Sonoma county has been his home for many years; highlighted by working with PetCare Veterinary Hospital and Canine Companions for Independence. He also served as a faculty instructor for veterinary technicians and assistants at the Santa Rosa Community College. We are very excited that Steve accepted our offer to join our staff. His experience combined with  passion as well as obvious compassion for his patients is a welcomed addition.

Steve is happily married with three great kids. They have a released Canine Companion yellow lab and a (somewhat temperamental) family cat. 

He enjoys many outdoor activities including. cycling, kayaking, and fishing.

His hope and goal is to contribute to the local community; both of people and their pets.
